Billing Block

A billing block is a block of credits which are usually located in the middle of the page at the bottom. These show other aspects of how credits can be presented for films. Some of the conventions for a billing block are;

  • It is all written in capital letters
  • It is located at the bottom of the poster
  • All of the names are in a larger font compared to the other text within the billing block.
  • Under the billing block there are usually film companies that were used in the production of the film, for example Universal.
The billing block within our trailer is a very important font, this is because it is a very unique font which is significantly the only font style which is long and thin so it looks almost squashed, after researching for a billing block font we came across one which suited the billing block to a 'T', as well as it following the conventions of a billing block. The font in which we found as well as using is named Steel Tong.
