Liquid latex scars development
Here we tried to re-create a scar like effect on my skin, we did these by using multiple materials such as;
~Liquid latex
~Tissue
~Foundation
~Eye shadows
The method in which we used these materials were;
~Liquid latex
~Tissue
~Foundation
~Eye shadows
The method in which we used these materials were;
- We firstly applied a thin layer of the liquid latex to the back of my hand before stripping some tissue into small rectangles. We then rolled the tissue in to thin runner bean like shapes which we then placed on the back of my hand where the liquid latex was placed, but quickly as we found the thin layer of the liquid latex dried quickly.
- To create the wound shape we decided to do the first step again but to make a slight ''()'' on my hand so that we could fill it with fake blood or red paint to make it look like a wound.
- We then applied a layer of the liquid latex over the tissue to make the surface of the scar the same texture. This layer of the liquid latex should be thicker than the first layer that we applied to the base of the back of my hand.
- Then you will have to wait for the liquid latex to dry before applying a second coat. So we then repeated step 3.
- After the liquid latex had dried you can then apply a layer of foundation to the area of the wound- This is so that the scar fits in with the skin tone of my skin.
- We then used various shades of browns and blacks to make the wound have that dirty effect.

Feedback on war genre
What is it that people expect from a war film?
I asked a question to a range of different people within the local Medway town of Gillingham and the responses that I got were what I predicted, however there was some responses that were different from the other responses in which I got.
The most common response that I got was;
"I expect the emotions of heartbreak and patriotism as well as the determination to do what must be done"
" I want big explosions with gore and sweat with it looking as realistic as what it really was back in the day"
However there was some people who gave me a different responses such as ;
" I expect it to be shown to me in a perspective in which I have not experienced nor have I considered"- 21 year old History honor student.
Film poster options
This was our orgional idea about what our film poster would look like, this is because when we was getting some basis shots we came across this pose with the angle of the camera which gave a great atmosphere to the way in which the picture can be interpreted by our two very diverse target audiences. The kinds of edits in which we did to this poster were;
- Changing the background by using various different tools on photoshop which enabled us to give the picture more of a realistic feel to it, rather than making the picture look like it had been positioned in such as way where it looked fake. The goal which was to enlighten my face but to darken the surrounding area so that I stood out from the environment in which I was in.
- We added in some text into the picture to make the picture look more like a film poster, we added in the title and the review from TOTAL FILM ( which is our chosen magazine producer) which was a typical convention of the film poster so we decided to follow the conventions of a film poster.
This was not our original idea and nor was it something in which we thought about but it was something which inspired me to do. This is because I was researching film posters and I came across Pearl Harbour's film poster which inspired me to have peoples faces faded in to the background buy having our own slight twist in the poster. This is generally because as a whole package we are trying to challenge the conventions of a typical war film. We challenge the conventions of a war film within this poster because we have used all females which back in the day- women nor girls were allowed to do the same things as what the men did as this was just not seen as part of normalisation within their society.
This photograph is something very simply done with the use of Photoshop, here we added some layers on top of the original background image and then this allowed us to adjust and alter the highlights and the shadows within the picture. Once we had changed the main colors we were able to edit the smaller imperfections about the image such as removing foliage in the background, toning down the brightness of my face ( the one in the middle ) so that we could make it look like I have been beaten up. For this particular image Emma was the creator and the developer but we all had an input into it by giving suggestions and so then Emma adjusted the picture according to the suggestions. However by looking at how the image is situated with the layers and the atmosphere in which it projects is more of a sci-fi film rather than the desired war film. The angle of the picture is also strange and unnatural to the viewer this is because of the angle of the picture which can seem quite 'alienated' - which is an audience feedback from one of our target audience.

Film magazine inspirational analysis
By looking at this film magazine cover, it is clear to see that this film magazine cover does not have one specific film that it is based upon. This gives the film poster a variation of film posters on one cover.
The film posters on this cover that really interest me is the war horse and the saving private ryan. The reason why these posters interest me is because they are linked to my genre for the trailer.
The features of the magazine which attract me is the;
The film posters on this cover that really interest me is the war horse and the saving private ryan. The reason why these posters interest me is because they are linked to my genre for the trailer.
The features of the magazine which attract me is the;
- Title.
- Position of the text around the pictures.
- The variation of colours and tones used within the one magazine cover.
- The position of the date on the magazine cover.
- The positioning of the plug which attracts the audience.
The title of the magazine is big and bold which attracts the audience, because the title is big it will attract the audience as it is eye catching against the background. The font which is used is the same font for the logo across and throughout all of the magazines of that producer of magazines company. The font which is used it clear and easy to understand, the font is like a basic simple bold font which is easy for all target audiences to read no matter what their age or their eye strength. It primarily uses a large font which is backed with white which shows the basic and simplicity of the magazine cover. By having something simple such as a white background symbolises the purity of such a magazine as a character.
The magazine masthead is bigger than all of the other text which is featured on the magazine cover, this is done to attract the audience which is used as a slight indication of being eye catching. By the masthead being bigger than any other text on the magazine cover this is done so that when the audience is looking for a specific producer of magazine they will know who to look for.
The position of the text with accordance to the pictures will attract the audience because the pictures are placed around the edge of the cover so this means that people will be more attracted to the vibrant scene of the fact that all of the pictures are situated around the edge of the page.
